HAPPY NEW YEAR

Carolyn and I were gone from 12/20/08 to 01/03/09. we were in Guthrie,Ok,Kansas city,Kan, and then back thru Broken Area,OK.We spent the night one night in Mcalister,OK at the HAPPY DAYS HOTEL. This place was themed the 50,s.We stayed in the Elvis room. this was the neatest place, if you are ever that way be sure and stay,it was a new and neat and clean place equal to fairfield Inn by Marriott.

The word of the day is JETTISON---(JET-uh-suhn) a verb meaning to throw away;discard. at my age this is what I need to do.I need to jettison most of my cloths and a lot of stuff in the garage.

Wisdom of the day from Proverbs:14:26--In the fear of the the Lord is strong confidence: and His children shall have a place of refuge. God bless you and prosper you this year.

escutcheon\ih-SKUHCH-uhn\,noun

This word describes a shield decorated with a coat of arms. MORRIS is a family name with a coat of arms. also according to Ephesians 6: 16 we also have a shield of faith. I think of JESUS being our shield. Tami's family came in last night and Lord willing Terry's family will come in tommorrow. We will have a house full and many matresses on the floor at night. I am making sure my camera batteries are charged and I know I will have lots of pix for the blog. We all have a lot to remember and be thankful for. HAPPY THANKSGIVING.

FROWZY-\FROW-zee\,adjective

A street scene in Delhi

A street scene in Singapore

Greeted at one of the less FROWZY hotels in Delhi

Even in Singapore

the subject word means dirty and untidy;sloveny. Also smelling bad;musty.

I was reviewing my journal from my 1991 trip to India and was reminded of some of the hotels with their frowzy lobbys and stains on the carpet and walls that you would not want to analyze too closely.

We have also been without a hotwater heater since Saturday. I was begining to feel a little frowzy,so this morning when I went to the YMCA to workout I took a nice hot shower there. At 1:30PM today we got a new heator.

Here are more pix from India 1991.

The election is over, the results are in,we are disapointed in the outcome of course. According to the title scripture,"the powers that be are ordained of God" Romans 13: 1 The government acts for God. That is true even when governments are imperfect and sometimes controlled by wicked men or women, because the powers are ordained of God. Pray for him.

We went to Oklahoma over the weekend and celebrated our 51st anniversary on 11/02/08.

I will put a few pictures on the blog.
